I was a little hesitant when I opened the box and looked at the mounting position of the solar panel. The maximum output of a panel only occurs when it is directly facing the sun. This kit doesn’t necessarily allow that to happen. HOWEVER, this light uses such little draw, even on a cloudy day, the battery is back up to 100%. The draw is so minimal it has remained above 75% battery since it was installed. I temporarily hung it in an easy to reach location because I wasn’t sure how well the batteries would hold up or how well the unit would charge during the day. It has been running for days without issue charging fully every day. I guess we shall see how the shorter winter months go but it will be hung higher now that I know it’ll work and spend less time in the shade. It’s currently mounted on the eastern side of my home, which means that after about noon, it looses direct sunlight.
The remote works well. I would say you need to be in about 25 feet of the unit for it to work properly. But all the buttons and settings have worked without issue.
Great product for the money and the flexibility it allows you to have. Not having to higher an electrician to run wire and install the unit was a huge plus!
Update. Great light works as described it's been going strong for almost 2 months. My neighbors have become customers and bought several. I need a commission. You won't be unsatisfied. Great value for the price compared to a few others I looked at before this one, don't waste your time with others!
After spending some time for searching at last I can find the product that is really waterproof, I bought this light for my back yard and it is very bright with just one day solar charging, it is not heavy and very easy to set up. I highly recommend this product as it saves a lot of money with solar energy and give my back yard the light without paying any penny for electric bill.
Put this up in the back of my yard to replace a dusk to dawn light that was just eating through my light bill.. I was surprised that this solar light even starts charging as soon as sunrise without even any direct sunlight is hitting the panel! Now that’s pretty impressive knowing that other solar lights require it to be under direct sunlight to charge and the fact that it only uses half the battery throughout the whole night even thought the brightness is up all the way exceeds my expectations.. will recommend to my family and friends
They were easy to install and work great. Nice and bright. Love that you can change the light settings from the ground and not have to get a ladder to do like others.
Works very well for the price. Wish it was on for 1 minute vs 30 seconds for the on-off motion part.

This is nice solar light. Easy to mount and adjustable to different angles. In mode 2 it stays lit from dusk to dawn (11 hours) where I live. Seems durable to handle the elements of severe weather as well. I had questions for customer service and they responded promptly.
Love the remote. Don't have to stand in front of it waving my hands to keep it on. Live the solar power dish on top. Very easy to install. And batteries seem to last all night long. Great price. Great product
